The Saguenay project, located in Brossard, is a renovation project for the living spaces, kitchen, and bathroom of a single-family home. The main objective lies in adding a new level of comfort while preserving the integrity of the building. These considerations resulted in the redesign of the entrance and the stair landing, the complete remodeling of the kitchen, and the transformation of the master bedroom's ensuite bathroom. Each space was designed to ensure a harmonious and functional atmosphere.

The Living Space

The entryway has been redesigned to maximize storage and improve traffic flow. This reception area has become the starting point for a warm and bright interior where the selected materials promote a welcoming atmosphere from the very first step.

In the dining room, the custom bookcase was designed to combine aesthetics and functionality. The upper shelves in ash-toned walnut create a warm contrast with the high-gloss white doors and blend in perfectly with the occupants' leather and wood furniture. Integrated lighting gently radiates from this bookcase, creating a welcoming atmosphere and showcasing the objects on display.

The Kitchen

Beyond simple modernization, the kitchen has been entirely reconfigured and opened up to the neighboring spaces. The uniformity of the floors, with the choice of North American white oak, blurs the boundaries between the rooms and creates a new sense of spaciousness.

The bar table, in Dekton Nilium INDUSTRIAL, replaces the traditional island and flows in a sinuous continuity with the kitchen countertop. This arrangement not only increases the preparation surface but also creates a welcoming and continuous space.

The Bathrooms

In the master bathroom, the white mosaic mini brick from La Tuilerie, enhanced by anthracite grout, dresses the walls in an elegant contrast. The finishes wind along the curves and dynamically guide us toward the large walk-in shower. Here, the black hardware, harmoniously matching the bidet and shower fixtures, asserts its contrast. The brass vanity faucets bring a touch of warmth that completes the refinement of this design. The gold light fixtures, in dialogue with black elements, add extra sophistication and make this space a modern and welcoming haven of rest.

The second bathroom features the same flooring, Gré stone from Italnord, thus creating a dialogue between the two bathrooms. The cedar vanity recalls the wood species of the dining room and kitchen cabinetry, thereby establishing visual continuity and a common design language.

The Saguenay project undergoes a complete transformation, combining comfort and aesthetics: a new identity for this contemporary and warm interior.
